Muscles are made up of one-fifth protein. As the building blocks of proteins, amino acids serve as the primary nutrients for our muscles. Not all amino acids can be produced by the body itself. Joints form a movable connection between two or more bones. The ends of the bones are covered by an elastic layer of cartilage. This serves as a cushion for the bones and absorbs shock. Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate are important components of articular cartilage. Even healthy joints require an adequate supply of minerals, vitamins, and trace elements. Vitamin C, for example, is important for collagen formation in cartilage.

Cartilage lacks its own blood supply, and its ability to regenerate is limited. In addition to a good supply of nutrients, you can contribute to maintaining the health of your cartilage tissue with regular exercise. This promotes the regeneration of articular cartilage and keeps the joints supple.
