The yam root is a staple food in Africa, Latin America, and Asia and contains vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and secondary plant substances. The most important active ingredient in yam root is the phytohormone diosgenin. Yams are used, among other things, to support menopausal symptoms.
Yams from Allvital is a combination of yam extract and yam powder from the wild Mexican yam, which has a very high diosgenin content of 20%. To support the yam's effectiveness, Yams also contains Indian gooseberry as a source of natural vitamin C.
Note: The European authorisation procedure for the health claim mentioned is not yet complete.
Ingredients per 1 capsule/tablet:
Women over 40: 1 to 3 capsules per day, men over 50: maximum 1 capsule per day. Please consult a specialist if you want to replace a synthetic hormone preparation with the natural yam.
