The vitamin B complex is a group of biochemically very different, water-soluble B vitamins whose functions are, however, closely linked.

All B vitamins activate enzymes in the body that are responsible for carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. Vitamins B1, B2, niacin, B5, B6, and B7 thus contribute to normal energy metabolism in our cells.
