DHA plus EPA

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are polyunsaturated fatty acids belonging to the class of omega-3 fatty acids. DHA and EPA contribute to normal heart function. DHA is also important for maintaining healthy brain function and vision. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, and athletes have an increased need for DHA and EPA.

Both fatty acids can be produced in small amounts by the body from alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). However, these fatty acids must be obtained additionally through the diet.

DHA plus EPA contains DHA and EPA from high-quality oil of the Schizochytrium microalgae, making it a purely plant-based product. Lutein and zeaxanthin from marigold are two potent carotenoids that synergistically support the function of unsaturated fatty acids.
