Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide (glycosaminoglycan) produced naturally in the body. It is an important component of connective tissue and is thus present in the skin, cartilage, bones, and synovial fluid. The vitreous humor of the eye also contains hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid, produced by connective tissue cells, has a strong water-binding capacity and, with its high viscosity, ensures moisture, elasticity, and stability of the tissue. As a component of synovial fluid, it also promotes the lubricating function of the joints.

With age, the body's ability to produce hyaluronic acid decreases. Our hyaluronic acid supplement contains pure hyaluronic acid as a sodium salt in capsule form.
