Vitamin D3 from lichen (3000 IU)
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is extracted from ferns and lichens (fungi). It is a precursor to the active vitamin D (calcitriol). It is formed in the skin through exposure to sunlight or can be absorbed through food. Vitamin D is needed for healthy growth and development of bones in children and plays a role in cell division.
Vitamin D also contributes to:
- to a normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus
- to a normal calcium level in the blood
- to maintain normal bones
- to maintain normal muscle function
- to maintain normal teeth
- to normal function of the immune system
- to normal function of the immune system in children
