Cat's claw ( Uncaria tomentosa ), also called Una de Gato, is a liana (woody climbing plant) in the Rubiaceae family native to the South American Amazon rainforest. The roots and bark of the stem contain polyphenols (secondary plant compounds). Cat's claw is said to have antioxidant properties, among other things.
