Vitamin K2 is a group of different fat-soluble compounds (menaquinones) that are formed by bacteria and differ in the length of their chemical side arms. The most important form for the human organism is menaquinone-7 (MK-7). In our intestines, vitamin K2 can be produced in small quantities by intestinal bacteria.
Vitamin K2 contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal blood clotting.
Vitamin K2 contains 100 µg vitamin K2 per capsule. It contains vitamin K2 in its active all-trans MK7 form, which has a high bioavailability and a long retention time in the blood.
